Management
Mr. Wallstrom joined Vera Bradley as its President and Chief Executive Officer in 2013. From 2007 to 2013, Mr. Wallstrom served as President of Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, the outlet chain operated by Saks Fifth Avenue. Previously, he was Group Senior Vice President and General Manager of Saks’ flagship New York store from 2002 to 2007. Prior to joining Saks, Mr. Wallstrom held a variety of roles at retailer Macy’s Inc. from 1987 to 1995. In January 2020, Mr. Wallstrom was named to the board of The National Retail Federation.
Mr. Wallstrom is a retail executive with extensive brand management experience, proven leadership abilities and a track record of driving growth. As CEO of Vera Bradley, he has successfully led the Vera Bradley transformation and expanded the company through its first acquisition with Pura Vida. As President of Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Mr. Wallstrom developed and implemented a strategic plan that repositioned the division as a growth engine, propelling it to a market-leading position. Mr. Wallstrom is well-regarded in the retail industry for his ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans. He has a deep background in brand positioning, product development, store operations and culture building.
John Enwright was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in July 2017. Mr. Enwright joined the Company in May 2014 as Senior Director of Financial, Planning and Analysis and was soon promoted to Vice President, Financial, Planning and Analysis. He was named Interim Chief Financial Officer in March 2017. Prior to joining Vera Bradley, Mr. Enwright spent 15 years with Tiffany & Co. in various financial roles of increasing responsibility, including his most recent position of Director of Financial, Planning and Analysis.
Mark Dely joined the Company in August 2016 as our Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. Between January 2013 and July 2016, he served as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Secretary of Fred’s, Inc., a publicly-traded retailer with over 650 locations throughout the Southeast. From July 2007 to December 2012, Dely was Vice President and Divisional General Counsel of the Franchise Services Group for The ServiceMaster Company, where he gained valuable international and franchise experience. His additional experience includes being the first in-house counsel for NYSE-listed seed and agricultural-biotech company, Delta and Pine Land Company. This role allowed him to work closely with the company's international team, managing relationships throughout the world and developing new global businesses. Dely began his legal career at New York law firm Fried, Frank, LLP. He earned his law degree from the New York University School of Law.
Daren Hull joined Vera Bradley in July 2018 in the newly-created role of Chief Customer Officer, with responsibility for all sales channels and marketing. Hull has a broad background in customer experience, customer insights, customer analytics, marketing, social media, merchandising, technology, operations, strategy, and leadership. Prior to joining Vera Bradley, Daren served as Senior Vice President of Technology, Stores, and West Elm Digital for Williams-Sonoma, where he was responsible for evolving and elevating the in-store and online customer experience and related technology at the $5 billion retailer. His prior experience includes General Manager of MyHabit at Amazon, Chief Operating Officer at Outdoor Voices, and Vice President of Luxury Direct at L’Oréal USA.
Kevin Korney joined Vera Bradley in January 2018 as Chief Merchandising Officer. Korney has nearly 20 years of apparel, accessories, and footwear merchandising experience with several well-known retailers. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Global Merchandising (Direct to Consumer), for Converse, and prior to Converse, he served as Senior Divisional Merchandise Manager for Fossil. Korney gained prior experience with Dallas Cowboys Merchandising, The Walt Disney Company, Nautica, Ralph Lauren, and Gap.
Beatrice Mac Cabe was named Chief Creative Officer of Vera Bradley in August 2017. She joined the Company in January 2016 with over 15 years of extraordinary design and brand development experience at several well-known retailers and brands including Fossil, Vince Camuto, Diane von Furstenberg, John Galliano, and Marni. In addition to New York and Dallas, Mac Cabe has lived and worked in her native Ireland as well as in Milan and Paris.
Stephanie Scheele was named Interim Chief Marketing Officer of Vera Bradley in August 2017 and promoted to Chief Marketing Officer in April 2018. Scheele has spent 16 years with the Company and has been the driving force behind various marketing and creative initiatives over that time frame. She has served as VP, Marketing Strategy and Operations since 2015, leading the insights and customer database programs and overseeing the marketing strategy team. Scheele has made several structural and process changes to improve the efficiency of the marketing department and has been instrumental in advancing the company’s marketing initiatives to an integrated, customer-segmented, research-based approach. Prior to joining Vera Bradley, Scheele worked for Sunrise Greetings, a subsidiary of Hallmark.
Mary Beth Trypus was named Chief Sales Officer of Vera Bradley in March 2018. She joined the Company in May 2016 as Vice President, Wholesale Sales. In her expanded role, she oversees the Company’s Full Line and Factory stores as well as the indirect sales channels. Since joining Vera Bradley, Trypus has been instrumental in significantly expanding the Company’s key accounts and realigning the indirect sales channel structure.
Prior to joining the Company, Trypus served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Bulova Corporation. She gained prior experience with Nine West, Liz Claiborne, and Kaufmann’s Department Stores.
